Greywater-Plumbing Options & Tips
The following links are supplements building on the images and information in the greywater harvesting chapter and appendix of Rainwater Harvesting for Drylands and Beyond, Volume 2, 2nd Edition by Brad Lancaster.
All systems featured here and in the book are highly effective, convenient to use, and low maintenance.
I don’t feature any greywater systems with mechanical pumps and tanks because I typically find those systems to be questionably effective, inconvenient to use, high maintenance, and too expensive.
Still more information can be found in Create an Oasis with Greywater by Art Ludwig.
Art is the innovator of the gravity-fed branched-drain greywater system and others.
And to make sure you have a good understanding of some of the important basics of household plumbing, see the last link on this page for a free, downloadable guide.
