Transform the topography of hot, draining, dysfunctional, landscapes into cool, water-harvesting, functional landscapes
I write this on the first day of summer with the daytime high temperature well above 100˚F (37˚C), in a drought made far worse by bad landscape design that drains rather than retains the rainwater that could help cool us by transpiring that moisture through the evaporative cooling leaves of vegetation that can be freely irrigated by that rain in a way that helps control flooding AND naturally recharge our springs, creeks, rivers, and aquifers; instead of wastefully extracting/pumping from them.
