Steve Carson, Bill Zeedyk, Craig Sponholtz, and Brad Lancaster: Watershed-Restoration Training Workshop—Beyond the Basics, October 25–27, 2016 — Altar Valley AZ

October 25, 2016 - October 27, 2016

AVCA workshop
The Altar Valley Conservation Alliance invites you to join them for this team-taught workshop they are hosting with generous support from the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation.
When: October 25–27, 2016
Where: Altar Valley, AZ
Cost: $100 per person
The workshop will be taught by instructors Steve Carson, Bill Zeedyk, Craig Sponholtz, and Brad Lancaster, and targets people with basic training or experience doing low-tech watershed-restoration work who wish to advance and broaden their skills. The Elkhorn/Las Delicias Project, installed in 2012 in Sonoran Desert grassland, will serve as the outdoor classroom for a 3-day workshop that will combine observation, discussion, and hands-on work as a whole group—plus break-out sessions in small groups led by the various instructors. Teaching modules will include: Day 1 (morning): Planning and installation; Day 1 (afternoon): Monitoring and evaluation; Day 2: Repair and maintenance; and Day 3: Design and build.
Space is limited, so register soon! More information—including details about food and camping—is in the registration form, which can be found here.
If you wish to pay by credit card, please do so via PayPal at the Alliance’s Support/Donate page and make a note of it on your registration form.
