Use the free, on-site water flowing off our roofs, backyards and roads to increase the living sponge of biomass that is the foundation of our communities’ ecology and good health. Learn to identify and enhance natural processes in order to create sustainable oases of perennial food and shelter systems. We will also investigate how our built environment impacts the watershed, and how to design, retrofit, and build watershed-friendly systems.

* Explore community watershed potential through the use of maps identifying your site, its subwatershed, and the role of both within the larger Galisteo Watershed

* Create water-harvesting earthworks and low-impact erosion-control structures utilizing free, local materials to enhance to capacity of your property and your neighborhood.

* Join contractors and educators who have organized, designed, and installed local restoration projects within the Galisteo Watershed and set the standards for the current water-harvesting movement!
