Fall 2009 Conference

Register now!

The 2009 CARC&DC Fall Conference offers an exciting array of presenters who will provide inter-connected perspectives on issues important to resource managers, community leaders, policy makers and anyone concerned about resource management and utilization in our existing limited resource environment.
The first day will provide real examples of conservation and applied economic principals that can make huge differences in the lives of our citizens while enhancing our natural resources.  The afternoon will include a tour of a sustainable farming operation, a sustainable ranching operation and a local Mobile Poultry Processing Trailer.  The day will end with a visit/reception at the Loma Rica Ranch, a 452 acre ranch being developed as a green community designed to provide residents with essential goods and services within a community framework.  To view this 21st century model community for sustainable living, you may wish to visit www.lomaricaranch.com.
The Conference speakers chosen to present will provide an array of insights that offer challenging perspectives for future economic growth and environmental stewardship.  From alternative energy development to optimizing the utilization of our natural resources our speakers will stimulate and challenge our personal and organizational thinking.
Partnering for organizational sustainability will be a common thread of our discussions.  With increasing demands on our natural resources ideas for positive change and action will be presented.  These ideas can be the beginning of innovative actions for your local communities.
