Walk the Watershed

This winter, join NEW ARTiculations dancers and naturalist Eric Dhruv of the Ironwood Tree Experience on a “Walk the Watershed” tour. These 2-hour, interactive walk/talks will engage you in an exploration of how, where, and why water flows in Tucson, Arizona, and how that flow (or lack of it) impacts riparian ecology, desert landscapes, and us as human beings. Come learn about the watershed with your whole body! Open to all ages and abilities. Just show up or sign up on our Facebook event page.

“Walk the Watershed” Tours are free and open to the public. Come to one or all. All tours are kid-friendly (Feb. 26′s is particularly so!).

Sunday, February 26 (especially for kids!), 1-3 pm
Location: Santa Cruz River, park/meet at Santa Cruz River park, N. Riverside Rd. between St. Mary’s and Speedway

Sunday, March 11, 1-3 pm
Location: Ft. Lowell & Mt. Ave. Hendrick Acres

NOTE: Please bring a sunhat and plenty of water & wear comfortable walking shoes. We won’t be walking for 2 hours, however, as there will be lots of stopping and pointing and talking!
