Park(ing) Day 2008

September 19, 2008

September 19, 2008

An international day of innovation when artists, activists, environmentalists, and other citizens in cities across the world take over a parking space(s) for one day and turn it into a public park.

This is a great way to show how we could begin to depave our overpaved watersheds by replacing pavement with water-infiltrating, flood-controlling, summer temperature-cooling, water and air-filtering, wildlife-enhancing, food-producing, fun, greenspace.
